City to update residents on Comprehensive Plan

Join the city on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Magnolia Community Center —located at 650 Magnolia Blvd — for the final Long Beach Listens Public Open House. The community’s input has been crucial in guiding the city through the Comprehensive Plan and Local Waterfront Revitalization Program processes. The final open house will provide updates on these important plans.

Hispanic Heritage Month at the library

Beginning Oct. 2, view the artwork and photography of Spanish artists in our second floor gallery, assembled by the Latino Civic Association. At 2:30 p.m. that day, Los Playeros, a local international Latin group that has been playing together for 15 years, will also be performing Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Mambo and Baladas.
