Cops: Teens assaulted in Valley Stream brawl last month

Police said in a news release Monday night that two 16-year-old boys were ambushed and beaten at a Valley Stream Burger King last month.

According to Nassau County police, five boys and two girls approached the victims on Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. while they were inside the restaurant, at 181 W. Merrick Rd.

The group began assaulting the two boys, police said, who suffered “contusions and lacerations to their heads.” Their injuries were not life threatening, and they were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said the investigation would continue.
