Five Towners achieve academic success

Atlantic Beach resident Stephen Christopher Komisarjevsky received a Master of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Alabama during commencement on Dec. 16.

Joseph Ciorra and Max Rubenstein, both of Atlantic Beach; David Hirsch, Manmeet Nijjer and William Ernest Santos, all of Cedarhurst; Casey Ferri, Mason Fliegel, Laura Giannotti, Emily Hernandez, Lori Matza and Caroline Pease, all of Hewlett; Corey Oliver of North Woodmere; and Dannah Allen, Alexa Dokic, Evelyn Gitsin, Sahib Millwala, Domenico Sciarrotta and Tredd Smith, all of Woodmere were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Hofstra University. Students must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5.

On the Marist College dean’s list for the fall semester are Salvatore Isola, of Atlantic Beach, and Aliyah Wilson, of Hewlett. A senior, Isola is majoring in English. Wilson, a freshman, is a communications major.
