A day for children with cancer to play

Children with cancer got to play and have fun at Turf Island.

For children with cancer, compromised immune systems make it difficult to go to public places and play. Sunrise Day Camp, a day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, held its annual Sports and Games Day on Feb. 19 at Turf Island Indoor Sports in Oceanside. Sunrise campers were able to run, play and just be a kid.
