Art Galley show spans years

The Oceanside Library’s newest art exhibit spans the globe and the years.

New works by Oceanside artists Caroline Bert, Christine Connalon, Ilene Schuss, Miranda Rodriguez and Alyssa Rosenblum are on display in the Residents’ Exhibition Space.

“Galapagos Gems,” is the title of the exhibit by featured photographer Paul Oresky of Oceanside. This display features pictures of the flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. His photographs will be on display until the end of August.

In the extended gallery display are photographs of Long Island dating back to 1955. Professor Bette Weidman donated them to the library. These pictures first appeared as a collection in 1984, and feature scenes and people from Brooklyn to Montauk.
