Cherished holiday traditions around Long Island
(Page 4 of 4)
Step back in time: Old Bethpage Village gives visitors a taste of holiday merriment from days gone by when the restored village welcomes visitors to its “Candlelight Evenings” celebration. The Old Bethpage Village Brass Quartet sets a festive tone with Civil War era Christmas songs and other seasonal tunes.
The ice show stars two-time Olympian Johnny Weir and Long Island’s own Olympian Emily Hughes, along with a bevy of other skating stars and aspiring local talents. The heartwarming show features Olympian, U.S. National Champion and World Bronze Medalist Nicole Bobek, two-time U.S. National Bronze Medalist Ross Miner, and Ice Dancing U.S. National Bronze Medalists Madison Hubbell and Zach Donahue, among others. “Performing on Long Island is always special for me because it’s my home,” said Hughes. “Johnny, the entire cast and I look forward to getting Long Islanders into the holiday spirit with this fun, family show.”
Christopher Morley Park is located at 500 Searingtown Rd, in Roslyn, For information and tickets, visit www.holidaydreamsonice.com or call (212) 600-4330.
