The Oceanside National Little League 12 year old team won the District 30 Little League Championship on Wednesday, July 30 at Greis Park in Lynbrook.
They team defeated the Oceanside American/Island Park Little League in a tight game by a score of 8-7.
The District 30 Little League is comprised of teams from Oceanside, Lynbrook, East Rockaway, Rockville Centre, Baldwin, Island Park and Long Beach.
The Oceanside Nationals went 4-1 in District 30 play and 4-2 in Section 5 play. They made it to the Section 5 finals, however, they were defeated by South Shore Little League of Staten Island by a score of 10-7.
