Oceanside dancer wins Leggz award

The 35th Annual, 2014 Leggz Ltd.-Danny Ruvolo Memorial Dance Scholarship Award was awarded to Brittany Kwait of Oceanside.

A dancer at Leggz Ltd Dance in Rockville Centre, Kwait has been dancing at Leggz since she was three. She studies tap, ballet, pointe and theatre jazz, and has performed with Leggz Ltd. Dance in Walt Disney World, and many other community/charity events throughout the East Coast.

The Oceanside High School graduate scored a perfect score on her SATs and will be attending Duke University in the fall.

The award is in honor of Danny Ruvolo, a Leggz dancer and original cast member of the Broadway show “A Chorus Line.” He also was the lead dancer in the movie “All That Jazz.”
