Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin lent a helping hand at the 8th Annual Kiwanis Club of Oceanside Summer Gazebo Reading program held at the Schoolhouse Green in Oceanside to raise funds to send children to camp. The program is held every Monday night during the warmer months at the School House Green. While there, Clavin and members of the Oceanside Kiwanis also participated in Operation Paperback — Recycled Reading for Our Troops. They collected used books and sent them to the troops overseas.
