Police: handicap ramp stolen from Oceanside home

Nassau County police are looking for the driver of a silver Chevrolet Silverado who, according to detectives, removed a 20-foot aluminum handicap access ramp from the driveway of a home on State Street in Oceanside on Wednesday.

Police reported that sometime between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m., the truck was seen driving up to the home. The vehicle reportedly fled northbound on State Street before turning east on New York Avenue. Police ask that anyone with information about the crime report it to Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
