What can we do to conserve this section of the beach???I have watched it over the years erode and get smaller and the amount of people that use that beach each summer is growing in leaps and bounds. This beach really needs to be closed down in order to conserve it. Of course, as usual, it is all about the TOWN making it's money...not about our environment/beaches. There is a huge beach called Nickerson Beach down Lido Blvd.....It is about a mile to get to the water. Why can't the town direct the Lido West beach goers that are overpopulating Lido West (besides polluting our beach with their garbage) to Nickerson Beach where there is a tremendous amount of space? It can accommodate a tremendous amount of people with parking and beach and the TOWN can still makes its money! Would you know who I can contact about this?
