Mostly Cloudy Accident closes Long Beach Road
No one seriously hurt in collision; RVCFD responded

A car accident briefly shut down Long Beach Road at Princeton Road on the morning of Feb. 1.
According to the Rockville Centre Police Department, the collision looked worse than it was. A driver ran the light at the intersection, police said, causing the accident. One car was pushed onto the sidewalk and a driver became pinned inside. The Rockville Centre Fire Department responded and removed him from his vehicle.
Police said three people were taken from the scene to local hospitals. The man who had to be removed from his car may have suffered a broken leg. There were no serious injuries.
