Bucky Dent provides blankets to Mercy cancer patients

Former Yankees shortstop Bucky Dent was at Mercy Medical Center on Sept. 30, providing blankets to cancer patients for his charity program “Embraced With Love.” The program was envisioned by his late wife Marianne, who died from brain cancer in 2015. She wanted to make cancer patients going through chemotherapy to feel more comfortable and as though they were, “wrapped in love, comfort and support as they navigated through their own personal journey with cancer.”

“Embraced With Love” was created through the nonprofit philanthropic organization, Legends on the Links. The organization was founded by longtime friends Dent and Larry Hoskin and is dedicated to providing financial support to various charities and community organizations in need through personal investment, donor support, corporate sponsors, grants and fundraising efforts.
