Curran honors RVC Women of Distinction

Assemblyman Brian Curran (R-Lynbrook) recently hosted his annual Women of Distinction event to recognize women from the community who have gone above and beyond the call of civic engagement and outreach to make Nassau County and the 21st Assembly District a better place to live, work and raise a family.

This year’s honorees from Rockville Centre are Keely Collins, Bonnie Dreska, Ann Marie Myatt, Betty Proper, Eileen O’Sullivan and Suzanne Sullivan; and from South Hempstead, Bridget Hunter. All were recognized and received an official New York State Assembly Proclamation from Curran for their work on the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, and were given kind words from local elected officials. Honorees and their families attended the ceremony.

“The selflessness Keely, Bonnie, Ann Marie, Betty, Eileen, Suzanne and Bridget have shown RVC and South Hempstead are uplifting examples of devotion to our area and residents,” Curran said. “It is my honor to show them this small token of recognition for the hard work and dedication they have shown to our community. We are very lucky to have them as our friends and neighbors. My special thanks go to their families, who have allowed their loved ones to spend so much time caring for others.”
