Lions’ second bartending fundraiser

After the overwhelming success of the work of the Rockville Centre Lions Club volunteers selling Ducks for Diabetes, to raise money for various diabetes and sight-related charities, and the first annual Guest Bartender night hosted by Lion Greg Schaefer and Danny Navarino, the Lions Club planed another Guest Bartender night for Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. at The Dark Horse Tavern on Park Avenue in Rockville Centre. The special Lions bartenders will be Mark Clemens and Ron Webb. Please come and enjoy a glass for a good cause.

Look for Lions Club members to be selling ducks at various locations around the village, up to and including Kids’ Fest on Saturday, Sept. 19. By sponsoring a duck, you become eligible to win dozens of prizes, including electronics, games, toys and gift certificates at the Duck Pluck at Kids Fest at the RVC Recreation Center, where the ducks will be plucked from the special Duck Pond at the event.
