Paying it forward for Louisiana

Posted

Communities across Long Island are working to “Pay it Forward” for Louisiana.

When Hurricane Sandy hit people from all over the country came to Long Island to help us. For many it was the first time experiencing such volunteerism and giving. Now Long Island is giving back.

Here is what is needed:

Cleaning supplies, work gloves and masks, laundry soap, mud/rain boots, soap and shampoo, chapstick, new packaged socks, bleach, toilet paper, toiletries, zip lock bags (quart and bigger), contractor bags, storage bins, mops and brooms, paper towels, diapers, feminine hygiene, incontinence, formula and baby food, water, box fans, utility knives, utility buckets, pry bars, bug spray, pet food and gift cards to Walmart and Home Depot.

NO CLOTHING

Checks may be made out to A.C.T.I.O.N., which is a 501C3 nonprofit charity. Include your name and address and they will mail you a receipt for tax purposes. 100% of the donations will go to Louisiana victims.
