Rockville Centre News and Events, Week of Dec. 20
(Page 4 of 7)
The photographs of Ellen Fisch will be on exhibit on the Lover Concourse during the month of December. Ms. Fisch is an architectural fine art photographer based in New York. Her black-and-white and sepia tone photographs are timeless images evoking aesthetic beauty and a distinct sense of place. Well versed in painting and drawing, the photographer uses traditional fine art concepts to create images that go beyond conventional interpretations of her subjects. Fish’s photographs of a specific city, building, architectural detail or landmark encourage the viewer to journey to that place through photographic art to get its flavor and creating an indelible “placeprint” in the viewer’s mind. In 2010 Fisch photographed the charming and architecturally diverse community of Rockville Centre. The many styles of architecture and details of the area were brought to life in stunning black-and-white photographs. The result is a tour of the village through the eyes of a photographer. In the current exhibition Fisch revisits Rockville Centre to explore its beauty, spirit and character through setting and architecture. Visit Ellen Fisch Photography at www.ellenfisch.com
