A funeral service was held Monday at St. Agnes Cathedral for Larry Murray, the younger brother of Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray.

Murray, 56, of Wantagh, died unexpectedly on Dec. 27. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Fries, and their children, Kelly and Lisa Fries; his parents, former Rockville Centre Mayor Eugene Murray and Mary Lou Murray; four sisters, Mary Lou Marquardt, Jean Joyce, Rosemary Murray and Anne Hayden; and two brothers, Francis and Thomas Murray. Another sister, Teresa Ferriole, is deceased.

Larry worked in the family cleaning business that his father founded and his brother Francis managed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made in Larry’s name to the Rockville Centre Community Fund, 1 College Place.
