This year's Garden Potpourri will take place on the beautiful grounds of 45 South Marion Place. The community is invited to come and enjoy a fun-filled day. Eat a wing, save a breast On Oct. 4 at 4 p.m., Maple Pointe Assisted Living, at 260 Maple Ave., will host a “wing-off” to benefit South Nassau Communities Hospital's Breast Center. For a $10 donation at the door, visitors are invited to vote for their favorite chef. The competition will include entries from Rockville Centre’s McFadden’s, MacArthur Park, Monaghan’s, Chadwicks at the Station, The Dark Horse Tavern and Maple Pointe, as well as Jackie Reilly’s of Bethpage. Casino Night at Temple B'nai Sholom-Beth David On Oct. 6, Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David will honor Rockville Centre Trustee Michael Sepe and long-time congregant Nanci Moskowitz at its third annual Casino Night. In addition to honoring these two extraordinary individuals, the evening will feature various gaming tables, refreshments, an open bar and plenty of raffles. "Rigoletto" at Madison Theatre The Long Island Opera will perform Verdi's "Rigoletto" in three acts at 8 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Madison Theatre at Molloy College.
