Rockville Centre resident Josh Levine was named best goalkeeper in the U-14 age group while competing in a round-robin tournament for Region 1 at the U.S. Soccer Olympic Development Program Boys Thanksgiving interregional in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Levine was one of only 18 players chosen to participate in the tournament from the Eastern Region, from an original roster of 60 players. Levin was named best goalkeeper out of all four regions.

Levine played in the past for the Rockville Centre Revolution Soccer Club, and currently plays for the HBC Titans. Levine also made the varsity team for South Side High School as a freshman and is the backup goalkeeper.

“My son played with him for several years, and I’ve always said that Josh was one of the best goal keepers I’ve seen,” said Kevin Bohn, president of the Rockville Centre Soccer Club. “So this didn’t come as too much of a surprise.”
