Mostly Cloudy Rubin makes it to U.S. Open

Noah Rubin, who splits his time between Merrick and Rockville Centre, and Stefan Kozlov earned wild cards into the main draw of the U.S. Open doubles with a 6-2, 6-2 boys 18s win over top seeds Collin Altamirano and Deiton Baughman the afternoon of Aug. 9.
“We were really pumped up,” Rubin said in a release. “It was the last match. We really put it all out there. It was, by far, our best playing. They’re a great team and you can see the score. We played very well.”
