The first step to becoming Eagle Scout

Posted

Colin Robinson, a boy scout from Troop 214, has been working to complete his Eagle Scout project. Robinson, 15, a Baldwin resident, is working towards helping St. Christopher’s School for the Death in Jamaica, Wes Indies. Colin organized a car wash with the Rockville Centre Lions club to raise money and items for the school. They raised $900 and sent 6 barrels full of book and supplies to the school.

Colin is currently the rank of life Scout and is a candidate for Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest rank a scout can attain. He has been a Scout since he was 6.

The Eagle Scout project will take place in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies at St. Christopher’s School For The Deaf. Colin plans on helping their library build a collection of books. It currently lacks variety and volume. The shelves are sparsely filled with books. They have very few educational games for the children to learn.
