St. Agnes Cathedral School held its annual Dinner Dance last Saturday at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park, where community members were honored for their support and service to Catholic education.
Paul H. Durnan, from St. Agnes’s class of 1955, was recognized with the St. Thomas Aquinas Award; Jane and William McDermott were granted the St. Catherine of Siena Award; and Wendy Allison Hofmann was given the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award for their support, commitment and service to Catholic students.
After a cocktail hour, St. Agnes Assistant Principal Brian Jenson and Principal Cecilia St. John presented awards to this year’s recipients. The Rev. William Koenig, rector of St. Agnes Cathedral, and Bishop John O. Barres, who leads the Diocese of Rockville Centre, delivered the invocation and blessing, respectively, before attendees ate and danced the night away.
