John P. McEntee was named as new chairman of Molloy College’s Board of Trustees last month after five years on the board, succeeding Msgr. Francis J. Caldwell. Molloy also welcomed Nicolette Fiore-Lopez to the board.

McEntee, of Rockville Centre, has been a member of the board since 2013, most recently serving as vice chairman. Prior to that, he served on many board committees, including Academic Affairs, Mission Effectiveness and the Executive Committee.

He is a commercial litigation partner at the law firm of Farrell Fritz, P.C. in Uniondale and served as an assistant district attorney in Nassau County and as an assistant deputy attorney general with the New York State Organized Crime Task Force.

McEntee has been an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association for 27 years, serving on its Board of Directors as well as the Executive Committee. He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Brockport and his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law.

Fiore-Lopez, of East Setauket, is the chief nursing officer at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. At St. Charles, she is a member of the executive management team that is responsible for the administrative and organizational plan for providing nursing care to patients through strategic planning, resource allocation and evaluating patient outcomes.

She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing of the City University of New York, her master’s degree from New York University and then received her doctorate in nursing from Molloy College in 2015.

“We are excited to have John McEntee as our new chairperson,” said Dr. Drew Bogner, Molloy College’s president. “At the same time, we want to thank Monsignor Caldwell for his dedicated service to Molloy and we also look forward to the many contributions of our newest board member, Nicolette Fiore-Lopez.”
