Members of the Queens Classic Car Club visited Village Hall on Feb. 11 to donate $500 to the Valley Stream chapter of the Nassau County Police Activity League, a non-profit whose mission is to build partnerships between at-risk youth, police and community through sports and educational activities.

The group donated the funds raised through its various classic-car shows it organizes and holds throughout Nassau County, and Queens.

“Thanks to the club’s donation, we will be able to purchase sports equipment, help with registration fees and fund year-end parties for the children,” said Valley Stream PAL President Annette Gray.

“The Queens Classic Car Club is no stranger to Valley Stream,” said Mayor Ed Fare. “ … What is special, is that the money they raise goes to support local charities and community organizations.”
