The library has been a major part of Steve Gaughran’s life, even before he moved to Seaford in 1960. Gaughran, 81, recently wrapped up a 17-year tenure on the Seaford Public Library board of trustees. Because of health reasons, he stepped down on Dec. 31, six months before his term was set to expire.

Margaret Grub will become the newest member of the Seaford Public Library’s Board of Trustees. The board held a special meeting on Dec. 1 to fill the position being vacated at the end of the month by Stephen Gaughran.
