The fading bellmore Village sign was taken down on Aug. 18 and replaced with an updated one.

In the mid-1990s, Bellmore’s downtown shopping district was barren, with little activity and empty storefronts, until a revitalization project breathed new life into the area. Downtown Bellmore, now known as Bellmore Village, became a vital part of the community, and serves as a major economic asset to this day. more
