A court has ruled Hofstra University president Susan Poser won’t need to appear in front the Nassau County Legislature until February, to answer questions posed by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who claims Poser is working with a competing casino bid in Queens to upend efforts for the Las Vegas Sands to take over the Nassau Coliseum site.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Nassau County Legislature presiding officer Howard Kopel, said they were compelling Hofstra University president Susan Poser to appear before the legislature next week. But a court has since delayed any such appearance until at least February, after the school successfully petitioned the same court that ruled against the county in its negotiations with the Las Vegas Sands to redevelop the Nassau Coliseum last year.
