Alexis Vandergoot, a Kennedy High School science teacher, received a commendation from the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. Joining her at the BMCHSD Board of Education’s February meeting were Superintendent John DeTommaso, Science Department Chairman Robert Soel, Trustee Susan Schwartz and Kennedy Principal Lorraine Poppe.
