Vocal music teacher Michelle Lindsley broke the news that she is suffering from multiple myeloma, a bone marrow cancer, to one of her star students, Robbie Rosen, during a lesson at her home studio. “Michelle has given so much of herself to me, her students and colleagues,” Rosen said. “I remember thinking I have to give back some way.”

Ben Schneid & The Brothers Stenz is a rock and roll band from Oceanside, NY that formed about a month ago. The band represents the merger of two formerly separate musical projects. Ben Schneid was a solo artist playing around New York City, while the Brothers Stenz were a reputable band gigging around Long Island. Since the band formed, they have played a handful of shows at well-known venues such as The Bitter End, which is where musical acts such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez got their start. All three members attended Oceanside High School and were active contributors to the community during their time there.
