If you build it . . .
July 22: 7 p.m., a “pay it forward” fundraiser for the Sandy Ground Project at Reel, 1 Main St., East Rockaway. $40 per person includes buffet samplings, 2 drink tickets.
July 25. 26: Volunteers will be welcomed at the beach at 10 a.m. to help with the construction of the playground. No pre-registration is required, but helpers will need to sign a waiver. 
July 26: A post-build party: time and location TBA (possibly Althouse1848 New American Restaurant).
July 27: A ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. at the playground, 8 Cooke St., East Rockaway (Bay Park). Visit Facebook; Fundraiser for Where Angels Play
