Holiday Stage

A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, “A Christmas Carol,” is brought to life in a radio-style staged reading at Adelphi University. The reading, dramatized by Barbara Feld and directed by Adelphi faculty member Brian Rose, is a popular annual tradition among the performers and audience alike. Feld’s famous adaptation of the beloved tale, features Rose as Ebenezer Scrooge and 15 student actors. Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and all the other characters everyone knows and loves from this treasured story take on a new dimension in this retelling.
Sunday, Dec. 21, 3 p.m. The performance is free, but in the spirit of “A Christmas Carol,“ everyone attending is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Mary Brennan Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead. Adelphi University Performing Arts Center, Olmsted Theatre, 1 South Ave., Garden City. For more information, call (516) 877- 4000 or visit aupac.adelphi.edu.
