Armed robbery at Cedarhurst store
A man armed with a silver handgun robbed the Right Time Grocery at 210 Rockaway Tpke. in Cedarhurst on Monday, and took an unspecified amount of cash, police said. He entered the store and ordered the employee, a 53-year-old man, to lie on the floor. With the gun displayed, he demanded the employee hand over money from the cash register, according to police. The man was described as black, 6-feet tall, medium build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with white lettering and was wearing a green bandana covering his face. He left the store and got into the passenger side of a cream colored Ford Explorer that headed north on Rockaway Turnpike. There were no injuries, police said. Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All calls are kept confidential.
