Armed robbery at Valley Stream T-Mobile

Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at the T-Mobile store in Valley Stream that occurred Monday at 11:26 a.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 5’10” and approximately 20-25 years old, with a thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, gloves, a mask and carrying a dark laundry bag. They said he entered the store, located at 116 Rockaway Ave., brandished a black handgun and demanded that customers and store employees move to the back of the store. He demanded money and property from a 33-year-old store manager and fled westbound on West Mineola Avenue with an undetermined amount of cash and three new cell phones in their boxes.

There were two employees and two customers inside the store during the robbery, police said. There were no reported injuries.
