Veteran comic actor Tommy Koenig, often seen on Comedy Central, takes a comic journey, punctuated with music, through the rock ‘n roll era in his new revue, “Baby Boom Baby.” Koenig performs comedy and hits from the ‘50s to 2012, with original songs to document each era in baby boomers’ lives. Everyone — boomers and those who are not — will be touched by this hilarious, wildly entertaining trip through our times and the music that defined it, featuring the varied spectrum of music, from The Beatles to Lady Gaga.

Salute To Veterans Spectacular
Tony Orlando headlines Nassau County’s annual Salute To Veterans night at Eisenhower Park. The 70s pop singer will regale his audience with his many hits from those “Dawn” days, including “Tie a Yellow Ribbon” and “Knock Three Times,” among others. The program begins with ceremony honoring veterans, dedicated this year to the nation’s armed services, past and present. The dynamic USO Liberty Bells open the show with a nostalgic performance of patriotic favorites.

Surround yourself with the vibrant colors — and birds — of the season on a guided tour at Muttontown Preserve. This hike through some of the preserve’s 550 acres explores thickets, small meadows and wetlands as a guide describes the various birds that reside in the preserve. Also look for a variety of other creatures that make their home here, including mammals and reptiles. At this time of year, the birds are a main attraction and bird lovers of all ages will enjoy this relaxing walk.
