Charged with forgery, possession of controlled substance

Four people, including two from Oceanside, were arrested early last Saturday morning when an investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked in Rockville Centre resulted in the discovery by a village police officer of crack cocaine, Xanax and counterfeit money, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Detectives said that a Rockville Centre officer was investigating a 2002 Honda parked in a municipal lot on South Park Avenue at 1:52 a.m. on Aug. 23, and that the officer determined that all four occupants of the car were in possession of crack cocaine and Xanax pills. Caitlyn M. Holahan, 26, and Kristy L. Purzak, 25, of Oceanside, and Steven J. Loetterle, 31, and Michael Rapaport, 40, of Baldwin, were arrested without incident.

Further investigation revealed 18 counterfeit $20 bills under the front passenger seat, the NCPD said. Holahan and Purzak each had one counterfeit bill in their possession as well.

Purzak was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument. Holahan was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Loetterle and Rapaport were charged with a total of six counts of controlled substance possession and four counts of forged instrument possession.
