Chase bank robbed

The Major Case Bureau is investigating a robbery that occurred in Franklin Square on Tuesday, July 14, at 9:20 a.m.

According to Robbery Squad detectives, an unknown male subject entered the Chase Bank located at 654 Franklin Avenue and approached two tellers displaying a black handgun, and demanded cash.

After the tellers complied, the subject fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash through the rear door in a northerly direction. There were six employees and three customers present in the bank at the time of the incident.

There were no injuries reported.

The male subject is described as being black skinned, 20-30 years of age, 5’10” – 6’1” tall, 170 Lbs., long sleeve black/blue wide stripe shirt, Brooklyn Nets baseball cap, blue bandanna partially covering face.
