City to hold annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday

The city's Department of Parks & Recreation will hold its 53rd annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 10 a.m. The hunt will take place on the Recreation fields located on Magnolia Boulevard and the Bay next to the Long Beach Ice Arena.

Children will hunt for eggs according to the following age group categories:

Ages 3 and under (with one parent) 10:00 a.m.

4-year-olds 10:30 a.m.

5-year-olds 11:00 a.m.

6-year-olds 11:30 a.m.

7-year-olds 12:00 p.m.

8- and 9-year-olds 12:30 p.m.

Join the Easter Bunny and his helpers before and after each hunt for eggstraspecial events including, craft projects, face painting, balloon animals and more. Children can also enter our Jelly Bean guessing contest. It is sure to be a fun filled day for all.

Prizes sponsored by CityMd will be awarded in each age group. Arts and Crafts and entertainment sponsored by Skudin Surf, the LB CSEA and McDonalds of Long Beach. Children should bring their own baskets to gather eggs. Rain date for the egg hunt will be Sunday, April 13, 2014.
