Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

A 25-year-old male of Lynbrook was arrested and charged with strangulation, criminal mischief and an open warrant for two counts of possession of a controlled substance on Shipherd Avenue on Nov. 5 at 10:40 a.m.

On Nov. 8 at 1:32 p.m., a 30-year-old female of Brooklyn was arrested and charged with possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny at Citibank on 320 Merrick Road.

At 2:04 a.m. on Nov. 11, a 25-year-old male of West Hempstead was arrested and charged with two open warrants from Nassau County District Court and an open warrant from Lynbrook Village Court.

A 26-year-old male of Middletown, N.J. was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration, unlawful possession of marijuana and defective headlights on Merrick Road on Nov. 12 at 3:58 a.m.

On Nov. 12 at 3:58 a.m., a 23-year-old of Jamaica, Queens was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Merrick Road.

At 9:41 a.m. on Nov. 12, a 25-year-old female of Spring Hill, Fla. was arrested and charged with failure to signal and unlawful possession of marijuana on Nieman Avenue.

A 62-year-old female from Brooklyn was arrested and charged with failing to maintain a lane and driving under the influence of alcohol on Sunrise Highway on Nov. 12 at 10:45 p.m.

On Nov. 13 at 3:20 a.m., a 31-year-old Lynbrook resident was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of aggravated unlicensed operator, speeding, using a mobile phone while driving and defective headlights on Merrick Road.

Criminal mischief

Someone struck a 2016 White Jeep Grand Cherokee parked at the intersection of Union Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue and fled the scene on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. The total damage was approximately $1,200.

Someone broke a landscape light fixture at BLS Asset Management on Earle Avenue on Nov. 7 at 5:04 p.m. The damage cost approximately $750.
