The beloved fairy tale springs to life in a delightful musical romp, presented Plaza Theatrical Productions. All the ingredients that have made this story a perennial favorite are here, including a zany Fairy Godmother, a trip to the Royal Ball, and a glass slipper. Dreams and wishes really do come true as all ages will enjoy sharing Cinderella’s journey.

The renowned concert pianist graces the Adelphi University stage in a dynamic program showcasing his refined style and exceptional versatility. The centerpiece of the concert is a performance of all four of Chopin’s beloved Ballades, some of his most popular and enduring compositions. The program includes Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Opus 23 (1831); Impromptu No. 1 in A flat Major, Opus 29 (1837); Impromptu No. 2 in F# Major, Opus 36 (1839); Ballade No. 2 in F Major, Opus 38 (1836-39); Ballade No. 3 in A flat Major, Opus 47 (1841); Impromptu No. 3 in G flat Major, Opus 51 (1843); Impromptu No. 4 in C# minor, Opus 66 – ‘Fantasie-Impromptu’ (1834); and Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Opus 52 (1842).

Life on the Gold Coast

Step back in time during a winter adventure at Nassau County Museum of Art, where families can participate in some theater-related activities. Explore the fascinating Gold Coast estate that houses the museum during “Once Upon a Time in a Gold Coast Mansion.” Families will journey back to the day, long before computers and TV, when the grand mansion was home to the Frick family and their four children, who read stories, made art and performed plays for entertainment. Activities include a scavenger hunt, improv theater with actor Lauren Brickman and workshops in set and costume design.
