Egg-stra special day in Baldwin

Hundreds of colorful plastic eggs, face painting and an appearance by the Easter Bunny made The Baldwin Civic Association’s second annual Eggstravaganza event a huge success. More than 1,000 people flocked to Baldwin Park last Saturday to collect eggs filled with candy and to enjoy the nice weather.

BCA President David Viana was happy with the turnout, especially compared to last year when cold weather hit the area during the first Eggstravaganza. “This year was definitely bigger, better and warmer,” he said. “It was a great community event and a lot of people seemed very happy.”

The Eggstravaganza was made possible, Viana added, with the help of local businesses and politicians who sponsored the event.

“We look forward to doing it again next year,” Viana said.
