Clerk told to remove cash from register at gunpoint

A man wielding a handgun allegedly robbed the Shell gasoline station at 928 Rosedale Rd. in North Woodmere of an unspecified amount of money on Dec. 28 at 9:30 p.m., police said.

According to police, the man, described as black, 20- to 25-years-old, 5-feet-8-inches with a thin build wearing a black-hooded jacket, dark pants, black glove on his right hand and a mask entered the station’s store pointed a gun at the 54-year-old clerk and demanded the clerk remove cash from the resister.

Then the man ordered both the clerk and another man, 72, into the back of the store. The man, who placed the money in a black plastic bag, then fled on foot through the front door onto Rosedale Road.
