Giving Is Easy For The Mothers Center of Southwest Nassau

Giving is easy, and saving a life is a great way to get in the holiday spirit. The Mothers Center of

Southwest Nassau has once again stepped up to coordinate efforts with the New York Blood Center,

co-sponsoring the Hewitt Elementary School Blood Drive on December 6, 2014. Members came from

all nearby towns to lend their support to this most worthwhile cause.

Dianne Robinson from New York Blood Center remarked “83 pints of blood were donated and will

go on to save 249 peoples' lives. The Mothers Center of Southwest Nassau continues to step forward

to help the community blood supply every year. They helped by putting up posters, making calls,

sending emails and texts, and being present at the drive to assure everything goes smoothly. It is with

their help that good deeds get done and peoples' lives are saved.”
