Happily ever after at Temple Beth Am
Courtesy Michael Krassner
It wasn’t Valentine’s Day, but it was a night for love. Elizabeth and Andrew Roth signed a ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract, recently at Temple Beth Am of Merrick and Bellmore. They were joined by 15 other couples, all temple members, who also renewed their wedding vows in one large ceremony.

Sixteen couples renewed their wedding vows in a large, joyous celebration on Jan. 25 at Temple Beth Am of Merrick and Bellmore, at 2377 Merrick Ave. in Merrick.

Rabbi Mickey Baum and Cantor Dan Rosenfeld officiated at the ceremony. Sixty-five people attended, including the couples, clergy and guests. The ceremony was followed by a dinner.

Michael Krassner, a Temple Beth Am member, donated his services as a professional photographer for the event. Each couple received a free portrait photograph to commemorate the evening.
