Whether you are new to the jobs market, looking to change careers or re-entering the workforce, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Senior Councilman Anthony Santino, New York State Assemblyman Brian Curran and Lynbrook Mayor William Hendrick have some good news. On Tuesday, Oct. 14, from noon to 3 p.m., the Town of Hempstead’s Department of Occupational Resources (DOOR) and representatives from an array of businesses will be featured at a Jobs Fair, which will be focused on, but not limited to, veterans of the Town of Hempstead. The Jobs Fair will take place at the Lynbrook Public Library.

Many fine companies will be attending, including the FDNY, NYPD, Cintas, Geico, New York Life, The Princeton Review, H&R Block and many more. What’s more, the Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources will be providing details on the services that this government agency offers, including career training, resume writing, interview assistance and even the use of computers, printers and other equipment at the town’s Department of Occupational Resources (50 Clinton Street, Hempstead).

“The Town of Hempstead is proud to partner with Assemblyman Curran, Mayor Hendrick and all the participating businesses to provide excellent career resources for veterans and for local residents,” stated Murray. “We encourage neighbors to attend the Job Fair on October 14th, as well as visit the town’s Department of Occupational Resources, to better prepare themselves for future interviews and careers.”

“We are bringing jobs to the people during the upcoming Jobs Fair at the Lynbrook Public Library,” added Councilman Santino. “We urge veterans, and all residents, to take advantage of this great community service program.”

“The outpouring of support from local businesses to help find opportunities for veterans, as well as local residents, is a testament to the commitment they have to growing and strengthening our community,” said Assemblyman Curran. “I am honored to partner once again with Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Senior Councilman Anthony Santino and Lynbrook Mayor Bill Hendrick.”

“I am happy to work with Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Senior Town Councilman Anthony Santino and Assemblyman Brian Curran to hold the October 14th Jobs Fair at the Lynbrook Public Library,” said Mayor Hendrick.

The Lynbrook Public Library is located at 56 Eldert Street in Lynbrook.
