The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (LICADD) will hold its 23rd Annual Peter Sweisgood Breakfast on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 10am-1pm at the IBEW Hall in Hauppauge, NY. This time–honored community tradition celebrates the miracle of recovery and honors those who have promoted access to substance abuse treatment.

This year, we will honor Community Champion & Keynote Speaker Thomas McLellan, Ph.D, CEO/Co-Founder of the Treatment Research Institute (TRI) & Former Science Advisor/Deputy Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP); Treatment Champion Patricia Hincken, LCSW-R, CASAC, CPP, Director of Addiction Recovery Services at the Zucker Hillside Hospital & Executive Director of Long Beach Medical Center’s Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking; and Media Champion Ron Scaglia, Editor, Special Sections for Anton Community Newspapers and reporter for an eye-opening and thorough three-part series called “Just One Pill.”

Tickets to the Peter Sweisgood Breakfast are only $45.00, or $400.00 for a table of 10. Sponsorship opportunities range from $1,000.00 to $10,000.00. Proceeds from the event will support LICADD’s family interventions and other clinical services for adults, children and families, as well as, the agency’s evidence-based prevention programs.
