The unofficial results of the Village of Lynbrook election are in, and the village government will remain essentially unchanged after Mayor William Hendrick and Trustees Allan Beach and Thomas Atkinson each retained their offices in Wednesday's unopposed election.

Far fewer voters came out to the polls for this election than did in 2011, as Hendrick and his ticket-mates each received 274 votes at this year's polls. In 2011, Beach and Atkinson each received 842 votes while Hendrick received 856 votes after being appointed mayor in November of 2010, filling the vacancy left by the election of former mayor Brian Curran to the state assembly.

After the results were announced, Hendrick said he was grateful to have won another term in office.

“I would like to thank the community for all of their support,” Hendrick said after retaining his office as mayor. “I look forward to greater progress for Lynbrook in the future.”
