Lynbrook hosts car show for a cause

Last week’s Lynbrook Car Show, hosted by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, also included its annual fundraiser, thanks to the Lynbrook Fire Department, to benefit Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior.

Between the JetBlue raffle tickets sold and a 50/50 sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, $400 was raised.

“We thank the Chamber for the money raised at the car show, and the Chamber’s continued support of our wounded warrior fundraising efforts,” said Ex-Chief Kevin Bien, who is also chairman of the department’s fundraising efforts.

People who wish to donate to the LFD’s wounded warrior program can mail a check to the Lynbrook Fire Department, One Columbus Drive, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Be sure to put “Wounded Warrior” in the memo section.
