Man on bike hurt in Valley Stream hit-and-run

A 37-year-old man riding his bike in Valley Stream was seriously hurt when he was struck by a car, which fled the scene.
The accident occurred on June 3 shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Brookside Drive. The man was riding westbound, near Rockaway Avenue, when he was hit by a small, dark-colored vehicle. The driver did not stop and continued south on Rockaway Avenue, according to Nassau County Police.
Police say the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was in critical condition.
