Merokean Doug Mills honored by brain foundation

The Bellmore-based Guardian Brain Foundation honored Merokean Douglas Mills at its Purple Passion Ball, held at The Carltun in East Meadow on Nov. 7. Mills, owner of the Printing Emporium in Merrick, was honored for his charity work. “He does so much for the community,” said Mary Pallotta, the group’s president and chairwoman. The Guardian Brain Foundation is a nonprofit organization that fundraises for research to cure brain cancer and other brain-related diseases.
